Very rare MASTER REFERENCE ACETATE LP of recording artist JOHN ROUND's self-titled 1971 album release for Westbound Records (#2009; see pix #1 and #4 above for the actual cover of the LP, which is NOT INCLUDED with this lot and is only being shown for illustrative purposes), which was distributed by Janus Records from 1970-1975.  The LP was notable for it's round cover design, as well as Round's unique cover version of the ROLLING STONES classic, "Sympathy for the Devil."  Guitarist DENNIS COFFEY ("Scorpio") also plays guitar on the album.  Round, whose real name was John Mariotto, passed away on February 16, 2009.  Acetate issued by New York City-based recording studio, STERLING SOUND INC.  Side A label pictured above.  Side B does not have a label.  9 trax on the acetate, including:

A4 Sympathy For The Devil (Rolling Stones cover)

Side B has 5 trax, but since there's no label, I can't be sure which trax they are. The released LP had these 5 trax, so it's likely these are the trax:

B1 To Love Somebody (Bee Gees cover)
B2 Travelin' Mama Blues
B3 Young Sadie (Dancing Lady)
B4 Train-a-comin'
B5 And I Will Not Be Moved

Also, there MAY be a chance the trax on this acetate might be slightly different mixes.  Not sure.

Acetate in near mint condition.  Gorgeous!  Cover in VG condition.  Exhibits some wear and splitting at top- and bottom seams.

(SS) STILL SEALED. Original factory seal.

(M) MINT: Perfect, flawless, new

(NM) NEAR MINT: Almost perfect, possibly no more than a few MINOR scuffs, wrinkles or wear.

(EXCELLENT/VG++) Less quality than Near Mint, but still in beautiful condition.

(VG+) Very Good+. Some scratches or scuffs, some surface markings, some wear, etc.  Nice overall.

(VG) Very Good. Too many scratches, scuffs, or wear for VG+, but still in okay condition.

(VG-) Very Good-. Lots of wear (scratches, etc.). Starter copy.

(G) Good. Wrecked. Excessive wear.

(P) Poor. Just what it says.
