Jonathan Winters - Johnny Winters
Well, I'm in shock! I bought this record in a collection over 30 years ago and this is the first time I have listened to it. It has a plain cover, white generic labels with Johnny Winters and an X on one side written in ink. It has NO matrix numbers or any other info. I can see why! To me, this is Jonathan Winters. It has a lot of his characters and sound effects which only Winters could do. This is obviously a private pressing made for only a few select people. I'm guessing it was recorded in the mid-sixties. It IS highly offensive...racist remarks and anti-gay material! Included are two routines about cigarettes, one a jingle by someone else for Chesterfield and the other by Winters. About 10% of the LP includes a few other well known people as you have never heard them before. Some of the routines are standard fare. Altogether about thirty minutes of material. I would imagine if there ARE any surviving copies of this, they would be locked up. You have been warned...
