The fist one is a Limited pressing on yellow vinyl.
(The yellow vinyl is limited to 100 pcs.)
The second is the normal black vinyl.
And the third one is a repress witch was made in 1997.
(The repress has a different sleeve.)

It has this really creapy/gothic sound which gives you the shivers. A friend of mine even told me that he wants "The First Rebirth" to be played at his funeral.
After this EP was released by Bonzai Records, the label became very popular for their Belgium Hardcore-sound.

i am a belgian dj, so i am very known with also label and record.... i can tell u that the first rebirth is the absolute start of techno in belgium, an unmissable classic...
and bonzai features since years all types of techno, divided under different labels like lightning records, xtc, bonzai trance, bonzai trance progressive, bonzai jumps, etc...

this is the hard trance track that defines an entire era. The reverb on the drums, the lush strings chords and unmistakeable riff make this an all time classic. All the remixes are crap though and have never done the original any justice at all!!!!

I'm a spanish dj, i think that first rebirth was the beginning of a new way of view electronic music. First Rebirth was/is/will be the vinyl that sounds better in my mind and in my heart. // El mejor disco trance de todos los tiempos sin duda alguna, para mi es el disco que lo tiene todo.El tema.....

"The First Rebirth" is indeed a classic that will never be outmoded. It's already 10 years old and though when you play it or even hear it on a dancefloor it's always the same reaction: AN EARTHQUAKE!!
As a Hardtrance collector I had to find it but I knew already it would be quite hard...I firstly found it during a trip in Holland, in Rotterdam but it was on the label "Low Spirit Recordings", which was already good for me as I had the tune but I still wanted the original release on the label "Bonzai Records"...
Between May and July, I spent 3 months in Berlin and as you can imagine, I found a lot of old Hardtrance stuff...and precisely I found "The First Rebirth" there!! I bought it for only 5 € in a 2nd hand records shop called "Alberto Schallplatten" that is not even specialised in electronic music!! Every time I find such a rarity, I can't help wondering what the story of the record is: was it played at a big event? how many people kept it in their hands before it comes in mine?

If you listen good to this record you wil hear that this record is live recorded with a syntheziser. It's like an orchestra and has made a deep impact for the hardcore scene. This is still one of the greatest works ever.No comments!
