Description

Very early Steve Perry-era live Journey recorded live in the studio in 1978 (Monitor Studios listed as "Monitro"). I haven't been able to find anything on the web about this studio. European-produced live LP with the bizarre title of "Guitars and Amps" issued in the 80's, with printed brown-and-white cover and a few errors/omissions in the track listing as was common then with unofficial live stuff produced overseas. The first track on side one is "Of a Lifetime", but listed in error as the instrumental "Kahoutek". The last track on side one is a rare performance of "Can Do" from the Infinity album, and is missing from the track listing altogether. The last track on side two is "Next", but erroneously listed as "Midnight Dreamer". Some rare performances here of Perry's earliest days with the band, something not mentioned in other listings I've seen for this album, and the sound quality is very good. Disc is M-, cover is VG, with a slight ring.
