A Fractured Music A Factory Record Labels: 9/5/80 A Factory Records Product Published by Fractured Music Printed by Garrod And Lofthouse Limited FACT 25 comes in two vinyl editions: Black and dark translucent red. It can only be differentiated when holding against a strong light source. Apparently, this is due to Martin Hannett, who ordered a second master cut after he found out that 5000 records were pressed without the initial master having been approved. There also are two sleeve variations: A plain carton cover with glossy inner sleeve and having straight corners. Or a thick rough cardboard cover with rough inner sleeve and having rounded corners. However, the two vinyl editions can come in either cover.

UK ABSOLUTE FIRST PRESSING LP ON TRANSLUCENT MAROON VINYL (EVERYONE CALLS IT RED, BUT REALISTICALLY IT IS ACTUALLY MAROON AND VERY MUCH LIKE THE OLD PYE/A&M PRESSINGS WERE IN THE 1970s) IN TEXTURED CARD SLEEVE WITH ORIGINAL ROUNDED-CORNERS TEXTURED WHITE INNER SLEEVE.

SLEEVE: VERY GOOD ONLY DUE TO SHELF, RING, CORNER AND EDGE WEAR. SOME SPOTS IN WHITE AREAS, EDGE NICKS WHERE DISC GOES IN, CORNER CREASES AND NOTICEABLE CORNER BUMPS. THIS IS A VERY FRAGILE WHITE SLEEVE AND IS RARELY FOUND IN TOP SHAPE, THIS IS DECENT ENOUGH BUT HAS THE USUAL WORN LOOK. INNER SLEEVE IS VERY GOOD+, BEING A LITTLE BETTER WITH WHITER WHITES AND LESS MARKS.
DISC: EXCELLENT MINUS. NO SCRATCHES AND NO NOTICEABLE SPINDLE WEAR, JUST A FEW LIGHT HAIRLINES AND A LIGHT FINGERNAIL SCUFF WHICH IS NOT A SCRATCH AND DOES NOT SOUND. CLEAN LABELS. A SPLENDID PLAYING COPY WITH SUPERB AUDIO. NO SKIPS OR JUMPS, NO NOTICEABLE GROOVE WEAR, AND NO DETRIMENTAL SURFACE NOISES.
