A real collector's item, this limited edition vinyl LP was issued way before the huge Joy Division revival of recent years. At the time, when Britpop ruled the British air waves, it came as a shock to young indie fans (like me) that such dark, beautiful music existed. This was one of the first Joy Division 'hits' compilations which turned on a whole new generation to Manchester's finest.
Released as a limited edition DOUBLE LP with a NUMBERED art print, this is a beautiful item for any JD fan. I photographed the print separately and I have also photographed the PROMO STICKERS on this copy. This denotes the fact that this was sent out to journalists and industry insiders as a review copy... the stickers are placed below the bar code on the rear and on the labels. While the LP itself is a stock copy (which is of course OUT OF PRINT), the PROMO stickers definitely lend uniqueness to this copy! This is the first copy of this LP I have seen in a loooong time, they simply don't turn up on ebay very often!!
CONDITION OF VINYL: NEAR MINT. My highest grading. There are absolutely NO blemishes on any of the four sides. I've really poured over it and can't find any paper scuffs, scratches, or groovewear. When other sellers casually write 'MINT' on their listings this is the sort of LP they should be describing. I believe this is the BEST copy you are going to find on the internet!!!
CONDITION OF SLEEVE/INSERT: EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT. As you can see from the photos, the sleeve is in great shape over all. There is a crease on the lower left hand side (most visible from the rear on the second photo) and a lighter one on the top left hand corner, which is far less visible. There are no tears or anything like that, and the spine is perfectly unworn and legible. It still has the 'pinched' effect implemented in the factory on both sides that is common with LP sleeves! All the graphics and colours on the front and rear of the sleeve are completely un-interupted with blemishes of any kind. The ART PRINT is uncreased and AS NEW: NEAR MINT. It is NUMBERED '0138.' I don't know in what edition this would have come out but it is probably between 1000 and 5000. I have described this as thoroughly as I can, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPIONTED!!!
I am an avid collector of many, many genres and keep my records in IMMACULATE condition. I grade according to the Record Collector Price Guide 'Ready Reckoner' and almost NEVER sell anything which is below EXCELLENT condition. Rest assured that my EXCELLENT is bloody EXCELLENT! Oh yeah and I NEVER GRADE ANYTHING MINT THAT IS NOT SEALED!! Near Mint is the highest grading I use for unsealed records.
All records will be sent within two days MAXIMUM of receipt of payment (usually within 4/5 hours of payment received). Your record will be expertly packed in a professional brown mailer, using one or two stiffeners and housed in a PVC 12" sleeve with the record in a paper inner placed outside the sleeve as is standard practice. I've always been lucky when buying records from ebay (save the odd occasion) and would like all buyers of my records to be 100% SATISFIED!
