Description
CLEANED & PLAY TESTED. First edition, first press LP released in 1981 on the iconic Factory Records label. It comes in the original cloth hard backing with cardboard gatefold sleeve housed inside. 2 discs each in original grey liner with white labels.
Cloth cover has some minor wear at top seam. Otherwise it’s in almost perfect condition. No ribbon.
Inside gatefold and liners are cardboard and all in near perfect condition.Labels are near perfect. It’s all there in the photos. Vinyl is etched in keeping with 1st pressings of this record. Runouts are etched ‘The Chicken Won’t Stop’ and ‘Townhouse’
I have played all 4 sides today and it’s hard to believe this is a 45 year old LP. Vinyl overall is VG++ First track on side 1 has a click on the intro but it’s light & is gone before the voice comes in . Side 4 track 3 has some light crackles for a few seconds. Otherwise plays clear and crisp.
If you’re considering buying this there’s no need for me to describe tracks or dates of recordings as you’ll know the album’s history already. You’ll know why this is such a treasured, sought after LP in this format. I’m the first & only owner of this and bought it as a teenager. I’m now downsizing my collection. Time to pass it to someone new. Until play tested it has been securely stored & not played for over 20 years.
No auction angst with this one. Instead a fair price for a most iconic and sought after LP. It has some slight imperfections due to its age and this is reflected in the price asked.
Buy today you will not regret it.
Item will be very well packaged with the addition of new white liners to minimise any ring marking in transit.
Buy in confidence. Full refund & free return if you’re not happy with it & advise me so up to 24 hrs post delivery.
