JOY DIVISION - STILL - HESSIAN COVER - FACT 40 - BLUE LETTERING ON WHITE LABELS
Released 8th October 1981
Trying to unravel the releases of this album is pretty complex. According to DISCOGS a limited number were released in the clothbound "hessian" gatefold cover with a white ribbon and these blue on white labels.
I think originally the ones with the blue lettering were released in a white gatefold sleeve but there is some evidence to suggest that other variants were made up by the record company to use up the card gatefold sleeve and blue lettering records.
The inner sleeves are generic white paper and not the die cut card ones. This is as I purchased it.

The white ribbon has, unfortunately, long since disappeared.
Everything here is in pretty decent condition. The hessian outer has some spots on the front, some scuffing and some discolouration. There is a mark and a little lightening of colour above the "I" of "STILL". I have taken a close up of this.
The rear is good with maybe a little scuffing at the top. The spine is strong and clean. The inside is in good condition.
The card gatefold sleeve has the usual yellowing around the edges. There are some spots. No splits. A little edge and corner wear. Slight ring wear at the bottom front and back.
The vinyl looks fantastic and the labels are clean. I no longer have a record player so cannot vouch for the sound quality.
Low starting price as I really don't know the value of this release.
