Genuine first pressing A1/B1/C2/D2 with the ALL IMPORTANT "The Chicken won't stop" in the run off on side 1 and "The Chicken Stops Here" on side 4 to establish it's first press credentials!!
I have owned this since 1983, I have always kept it away from the light in a proper PVC double LP protector sleeve.
The fabulous hessian cover is MINT- with only the faintest traces of corner wear, they are NOT bashed about or dented in ANY way, it is simply the hessian wearing slightly thin over time. The ribbon, the edges and the spine are perfect and there is NO discolouration, as there usually is with this particular release, to the hessian cover or the ribbon.
Inside the two card record holders (with the curved edges of course!!) are MINT.

Side is EX+ with very faint withdrawal marks.
Side 2 is M- with even fainter withdrawal marks
Sides 3 and 4 are perfect!!! With NO marks on the vinyl at all and only the ghost of a trace of a spindle mark each side.
In simply stunning condition this is ideal for the serious Joy Division fan looking to buy a superior copy of this LP. I have sold a number of these in my time but none that has a patch on this one!!!
This record comes from my own collection. Unless it is mint it has been played on a properly balanced Fonz CQ30 deck with a fresh Shure VN-35 diamond stylus, going through an Audiolab 8000A (highly recommended!). All that comes out of a superb pair of B&W cabinet speakers. It has always been cherished and well taken care of and it has always been stored upright in a PVC protector cover.
I include details of any blemishes there may be to the cover, inner sleeve (if present) and to the vinyl. As you will see from my feedback I am used to selling vinyl and other collector’s items on Ebay. I am well aware that detailed descriptions are essential.
I welcome inspection before the end of the auction and encourage buyers to collect from me in Bournemouth, Dorset.
All LPs are sent out in purpose built cardboard Record Mailers to minimise the risk of damage in the post.
