JOY DIVISION STILL 1ST UK FIRST PRESS 1981 / THE CHICKEN WON'T STOP / THE CHICKEN STOPS HERE -EX/EX+ FACT 40 - 1/8/1981
RECORD IS IN EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION FOR ITS AGE HAS SOME VERY LIGHT HAIRLINE MARKS BUT NOT THAT NOTICEABLE AND DOES NOT AFFECT THE RECORDS PLAYING PERFORMANCE. THE RECORD PLAYS VERY WELL. 
It is about almost impossible to find any non-sealed vinyl records without any hairline marks. Many of them had them from new, especially if sold with cardboard inner sleeves. They are a result of storage and use and have little impact on sound quality
Released in clothbound "hessian" gatefold cover with a white ribbon. Inner-sleeves are die-cut cardboard. The labels are grey on white. A limited number with blue on white labels exist, too. There also are editions with a pale blue ribbon existing.
SLEEVE IS AS ABOVE WITH VERY STRONG CARDBOARD INNERS. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1981 1ST ISSUE WITHOUT RIBBON ON THE SPINE. MOST RIBBONS CAME OFF EASY OR GOT VERY DIRTY AND RIPPED. THE OTSIDE OF THIS LP WAS WELL KNOWN FOR GETTING MARKED, AS WAS THE MATERIAL IT WAS MADE FROM AND WAS BASICALLY JUST NORMAL HANDLING,  LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, AS IT IS 38 YEARS OLD NOW IT IS NOT BAD AT ALL FOR THE CONDITION. PRICE TABS ARE ALSO 38 YEARS OLD.
HAS INNER SEPARATE SLIP IN SLEEVES, RECORDS GO IN THEIR POUCHES FROM THE INSIDE AND TUCK AWAY, REAL SMART THE WAY THEY MADE THIS PRESSING. SPINE IS ALL ENTACT AND DESPITE THE ODD STAIN FROM PRICE TAB AND GENERAL HANDLING, IT IS A PERFECT CLASSIC, SOLID, HEAVY AND RARE DOUBLE ALBUM. PROPER ORIGINAL OLD SCHOOL NO REMASTERS! 
SAD TO SEE IT GO REALLY, BUT I NEED THE ROOM. THIS IS A GREAT DOUBLE ALBUM, THERE ARE NEW ONES OUT NOW OF THIS, WHICH LOOK GOOD, EVERY MAN TO THEMSELVES. HOWEVER PERSONALLY I WOULD NOT GO NEAR A REMASTER OF ANY JOY DIVISION WORK,  AS YOU CAN'T BEAT THE ORIGINAL SOUND AND I HAVE HEARD SOME AWFUL REMASTERS THAT HAVE DESTROYED THE ORIGINAL - WILL SAY NO MORE!!
A MUST HAVE FOR ANY JOY DIVISION / NEW ORDER FAN, GRAB ONE BEFORE THEY DISAPPEAR.

A Fractured Music • A Factory Record 

There are five UK vinyl versions on Factory: 
Initial run released in a hardbound linen cloth sleeve 
Limited edition white gatefold sleeve with blue letters. 
Cardboard embossed gatefold sleeve with grey labels, some "TOWN HOUSE" mastered (this release), some not.  
Reissue with a standard gatefold sleeve (records unload to the outside).

VINYL - EXCELLENT

COVER - VERY GOOD

MINT- The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised, as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT- The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD- The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR-The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR- The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD--The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
