Description
Here we have an original 1988 FACT 250 copy of Joy Division - Substance. Released on the Factory label and mastered by the legendary Townhouse mastering studios, the power and slam of this album cannot be underestimated!
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our fabulous Degritter and the vinyl has come up spotlessly clean and very shiny but with some light scuffs and hairlines visible on both sides ( See Photos) but NO FEELABLE DAMAGE. The spindle holes and labels are clean with a few light spindle trails.
Playback was HUGE - this nearly blew the roof off! The menacing, visceral power and bass slam is immense - on a reasonably good system with half decent speakers there is sound in every corner of your room, coming to get you.....Yikes! Anthemic, crisp and very dynamic sound with a little noise in a few quieter parts, just normal stuff, but nothing that spoils the enjoyment.
The outer sleeve is sturdy, clean and smooth with light wear to edges and corners & some spine wear but still very readable. No writing, stains, tears or tape.
The original photo inner sleeve is also present and in excellent condition, however we have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine after cleaning - you will receive both.
Finally the record will be sent in an archival outer sleeve to protect it.
A great copy to own, play and enjoy - fully cleaned and tested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable and blast out!
