JOY DIVISION "UNKNOWN PLEASURES"
ORIGINAL EDIGSA RECORDS Cat# 19L0106
*Rare Spanish original pressing LP*
**********************************************************
One of the BEST of all the post-punk 'New Wave' bands,
JOY DIVISION were quickly the hottest Manchester band, perhaps more fervently courted by the press than any band in the previous decade!
They dressed in grey and black, clerical suited but more leaning to morose.
Their music is so much more - spiritual, rousing, gloomy, desperate, desolate.....and this first album does much to underline that fact. Live they were charismatic as they were dark and moody. Something unique and mysterious. The questions will remain over their short lived career, and short lived frontman Ian Curtis - they were propelled to fame and renown, yet the sun was obviously not shining within that sad soul.
The legacy was a couple of excellent albums, and a story that has been retold over decades since.
This is a SPANISH issue, oddly! No information about the songlist here on the cover or lables.

The VINYL is with TOP shine, NEAR MINT minus.
Pressing shadow only, no scuffs or marks.
Labels are in NEAR MINT condition, as pressed.
