An unusual mid-1970s pairing of Lee Perry with Joe Gibbs label as Junior Delgado belts out a hard vocal thanks to Scratch's early appreciation of the young roots singer who himself has referred to Lee as a 'mastermind'. The version side also sparkles with the jingly jangly Upsetter sound. David Katz writes in his amazing book PEOPLE FUNNY BOY -The Genius Of Lee "Scratch" Perry in the section entitled HURT SO GOOD - EARLY FRUITS OF THE BLACK ARK "Delgado stated that his whole approach to singing was significantly altered by Scratch's influence....'He wanted me to do this native singing.' It was not long before Time Unlimited became a prime roots harmony group, and words of their talents began to spread on the ghetto grapevine. Though Perry recorded plenty of material with the group in this period, very little of it was issued...it was Wire Lindo's inspired keyboard work that gave the song its overall shape." Produced by Lee Perry with dubious writer's credit to J. Gibson. The ORIGINAL 1975 Jamaican vinyl is in Very Good+ condition with no skips, no warp. To every action there is a reaction!
