J.R. MONTEROSE "IN ACTION + THE JOE ABODEELY TRIO" 1964 STUDIO 4 LP RARE JAZZ OG
FIRST PRESSING!!!! ACCORDING TO DISCOGS THIS VERY COPY WAS ONE OF THE 250 SOLD OUT OF A JAZZ LOUNGES' COATROOM IN THE 60's... THIS IS A VERY TOUGH RECORD TO FIND!

Visually, the record is very clean with virtually zero scratches and only light scuffs. A very well-kept copy. There are no chips, skips, jumps, or sticks. There is, however, very faint surface noise throughout the record. Because the surface is so clean I believe this could be how most or all OG copies of this release sound, but I am not certain.
Also, leading into the final song of the album, "Herky Hawks", there are around 10 or so noticeable "tics". This is the main reason I grade it a VG as opposed to VG+
Despite this, the fidelity is AMAZING. Easily one of the best sounding records in my collection.
That being said, If you are one who is bothered by even the slightest surface noice this record is not for you. In my opinion, however, the fidelity and loudness of the sax make up for the noise and often drown it out completely.
JACKET: VG
The jacket is in pretty average shape. Only usual wear to cover including scuffs and slight wear at bottom. NO SEAM SPLITS.
Most noticeable is a small stain on the back at the bottom left (see pictures).
Otherwise, a solid example, and presents real well.
