Description


Adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic The Hobbit onto four LPs.  It was estimated that a full reading of The Hobbit would comprise eighteen LPs, not feasible, so the significant challenge was in understanding the book well enough to parse it to eight LP sides, each in a sense holding together as a "chapter", while preserving the integrity of the full story.  Nicol Williamson, the highly regarded Scottish actor of stage and screen, was enlisted for the narration.  This set is in excellent condition.  All vinyl is in perfect condition. All labels are NM.  It includes the booklet that came with the set, also in Good condition. The case that contains the set grades Is in excellent condition for its age, the top of the attached lid & front picture is clean and bright & solid.  Overall a very nice copy of a classic narration.
