JUARA KUGIRAN 1973
Battle of the (Malaysian) bands
Juara Kugiran (much like Simla Beat was a cigarette company) who held a talent show for local bands. On this compilation record you'll find some of the local Malaysian groups that participated in that contest. There are some superb tracks with fantastic fuzz on this record. Check out the soundsample below.
These groups never went on to record anything, so these recordings are their 5 minutes or fame (or in some cases 3 minutes for the shorter songs). Really cool artifact here for fans into this type of exotic
sound.
There are two Juara Kugiran compilation records: 71-72 and 1973 (which is a double album). What we have here is the 2nd record of the double (1973) album that comes in the sleeve of the first (71-72) album.
Condition: The laminated sleeve is in EX condition. The record is in EX+ condition.
