On offer here is a VERY rare LP by Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny. This copy is in a very desirable and collectible EX+  condition

More than any other heavy metal album of its time, Sad Wings of Destiny offered the blueprint for the way forward. What's striking is how deeply this blueprint resonated through the years, from the prog ambitions of Iron Maiden to the thematic echoes in a pair of '80s thrash masterpieces. The horrors of Sad Wings are largely drawn from real life, much like Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss, and its all-consuming anxiety is over powerlessness, just like Metallica's magnum opus, Master of Puppets. Unfortunately, Sad Wings of Destiny didn't have as much impact upon release as it should have had, mostly owing to the limitations of the small Gull label. It did, however, earn Judas Priest a shot with Columbia, where they would quickly become the most influential band in heavy metal not named Black Sabbath.

Vinyl: EX+.  Both surfaces have a just over the counter sheen. This album has only been very lightly played and looks sensational without anything untoward. NO marks or hairlines, just beautiful unadulterated nearly pristine vinyl. Only those wispy paper retraction traces when viewed under a strong light which even a brand new record has. The LP plays to an extremely high standard with superb clarity, no groove-wear and no distortion and is very strictly graded a strong EX  for audio  - great copy!! Of course, NO skips, NO jumps, NO ticks.

 Sleeve: EX.  A splendid example with just some miniscule nearly invisible spinal creases and preserved in its original over the counter state. All edges are unworn. The spine is 100% as is the super crisp opening. This is in true stunning condition and barely ever found like this. just two micro "bumps" on the two corners but blink and you'll miss them. One tiny corner crease. A stunning example that will only appreciate in value in the future. Please have a look at all pictures to inform your bid. Of course  NO tears and NO writing or smudging.i
