Notes: This 45 is in VG condition. Has scuffs and scrapes but lots of shine. Plays through fine. This is Album Oriented Rock (AOR) music. Very listenable.
This funky Modern Soul tune was pressed in Milwaukee, WI but the band members were all originally from Minnesota. This is a tight sounding group. It is rock, but jazzy and soulful in places. From the Rochester MN Bulletin '507 Magazine' article by Tom Weber, Dec. 2017:
...
"All of the original members were from Rochester (Minnesota). “We were half John Marshall and half Mayo,” Nelson said of the band members’ high schools. McLoone, from Waseca, was the only non-Rochesterite in the group.
Judd, also known as the Judd Group, was easily the most successful garage band in Rochester’s history. The band recorded two albums, “Rhythm and Space” and “Second Thoughts,” and toured with major acts like the Beach Boys, Ike & Tina Turner, and Todd Rundgren.
It was quite an adventure for a group of kids who started out playing at local parties and dances.
“We spent six years on the road, got to go all over the world, make a couple of records,” Nelson said. “We didn’t get rich or famous, but I wouldn’t trade it.”
Some of the original members have stayed active in music. Nelson, for instance, has played with the Mary Jane Alm Band since 1979. He also teaches at the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis."
Label Condition: As can be seen in the scans the labels are VG (wear) and VG+ (little to no wear).
