EXCELLENT UNLAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE

EXCELLENT VISUAL VINYL - FULLY PLAY GRADED RIGHT THE WAY THROUGH !

CORRECT 1ST PRESS SLEEVE, VINYL, MATRIX AND LABELS! - A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT ON B-SIDE LABEL!

FIRSTLY: I ALWAYS, ALWAYS LISTEN TO AND AUDIO GRADE EVERY ALBUM/SINGLE/EP. Visual gradings are ok, but can be very misleading in my experience! I've had mint-looking vinyl sound like a dog! And, reasonably scratched vinyl sound great! So it's got to be listened to to give an honest and accurate appraisal. And that's what you always get from me.

Also, I list every item with LOADS of pictures detailing everything about this item. I hide nothing in my listings and point out all visible/audible flaws (if any!), as well as the good bits! That way you can rest assured you get exactly what is described. Every vinyl is thoroughly cleaned and listened to from start to finish, right the way through! So there's no unexpected disappointments when you receive your vinyl.

OUTER SLEEVE:
Excellent condition throughout, one of the best I've seen with virtually no wear to the very prone outer gatefold. The black print is still very rich and has not faded at all. There is very little ring wear which is also very common on these sleeves. The spine is excellent  and still quite square, so many have been 'flattened' over the years. There is some minor cosmetic retouching to the top black portion of the spine but it is very tidy and enhances the rest of the sleeve. Minor wear to the lower half of the spine, and to the bottom edge. The inner gatefold is superb and unmarked. No writing or graffiti anywhere on the sleeve. Very nice copy! EX+ overall!

LABELS:
Original 1st press UK Vertigo Swirl labels with the ALL important "A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT" on the B-side label denoting a very 1st UK press from 1969. In very nice condition both sides. No writing or graffiti of any sort. A couple of light ageing stains on B side label. A few light spindle traces visible. EX+

MATRIX:
UK 1st press matrices and a bit of a confusing hotchpotch, but absolutely correct for a UK 1st press (refer to vertigoswirl.com for a cross reference), parts have been etched by hand, some parts crossed out...what a mess!!!:

8 4 7 9 0 1      VO  1 2 Y   A // 1   4 2 0     1    1         6

8 4 7 9 0 1      VO2       2Y // 2   4 2 0     1    1        1

VINYL:
Looks excellent on both sides, a few light surface scratches visible but nothing at all major. EX/EX

AUDIO:
Very nice, loud sound quality. Very little background interference at all. Very light background crackle on run ins and in between tracks. Amazing tonal audio playback. A few light pops here and there that are only just audible over the music, hardly noticeable. There is one quick skip during track 1 side 2, other than that excellent playback throughout. EX+ A side, EX B side.

INNER SLEEVE:
Vertigo swirl inner sleeve. Not entirely convinced it's an original, possible replica but very nice though! And no splits either. EX+

SUMMARY:
Superb copy that would be hard to better. Superb throughout. EX to EX+ overall.
