Description

JULIAN CASABLANCAS – PHRAZES FOR THE YOUNG ULTRA-RARE LUXURY DELUXE BOX SET – COMPLETE

For sale is my complete original Luxury/Deluxe Edition of Julian Casablancas' Phrazes for the Young.

These sets very rarely appear for sale complete, particularly with all of the original components still together and the media unplayed.

This is the elaborate collector's edition released for Julian Casablancas' debut solo album and is a superb piece for a serious Julian Casablancas / The Strokes collector.

Included in the set

  • Original large presentation box
  • Hardback Phrazes for the Young book
  • Signed artwork/page within the book
  • Original vinyl LP – never played
  • Original CDs – never played
  • Original DVD – never played
  • Large original fold-out promotional poster
  • Original Cult Records badge/pin
  • Original internal presentation packaging

Everything shown in the photographs is included.

Condition

I have owned this for many years and it has spent the vast majority of that time in storage.

The actual contents have been extremely well preserved.

The vinyl has never been played.

The CDs and DVD have never been played.

The book remains in excellent overall condition, as does the poster and the other contents.

The outer presentation box does have some cosmetic scratches and storage marks from being kept over the years. I have deliberately photographed these rather than trying to hide them.

There is also a small amount of marking/indentation to the front of the red hardback book. This has been caused by the Cult Records badge/pin being stored inside the original box directly against the book, which was unfortunately how the set was designed and packaged.

Again, I have included close-up photographs so that the condition is completely transparent.

I would therefore describe the contents as excellent, with the main signs of age/storage being confined to the outer presentation box and the small badge-related marking to the book.

There are no known issues with the vinyl or discs, although as they have never been played, I have deliberately not played them simply to test them.

A very difficult set to find complete

Individual components from this edition occasionally appear for sale, but finding the entire original deluxe package together – box, book, vinyl, CDs, DVD, poster and badge – is considerably more difficult.

I have therefore decided to sell it as the complete collector's piece it was originally intended to be.

Please look carefully through all photographs, which show the actual item you will receive and form an important part of the description.

I am happy to provide further detailed photographs of any particular component for a serious prospective buyer.

Packaging and postage

Given the rarity, size and value of the set, it will be extremely carefully packaged for shipping.

The contents will be secured to prevent movement inside the presentation box, and the presentation box itself will be protected with substantial padding.

UK delivery will be by a tracked and appropriately insured service.

International buyers are welcome, subject to an appropriate tracked/insured shipping service being available to the destination country.

Please feel free to contact me with any sensible questions before bidding.
