JULY The Second Of July LP 1968 Vinyl Essex Records 1015LP
Limited and rare Original 1st and only Official UK Vinyl press, 500 copies only.
Recorded prior to the self-titled album's, sometime in late 1967. It is comprised primarily of comparatively demo versions of album cuts, as well as a few unreleased cuts in a similar vein. This release will appeal to those who can appreciate the core of the songs, but detest all the studio psych effects gimmickry added later by the s/t album's producer. It is interesting to see what the artist's original intent was, and how these cuts morphed into some of psychedelia's most coveted material.
