Description
The Jungle album is a great guitar psych record was originally recorded in 1969 as a demo album and was issued in a plain sleeve. “Overly serious singing mixes with a slightly heavy guitar-and-organ base and some bizarre frantic drumming to make this a completely unique listen. It’s certainly not the masterpiece some have claimed, but it grew on me. The weird-ass drumming style may be inept, but somehow it fits in this context, and a few hooks sneak up on you. The songs are very long and meander a bit, but they’re not exactly boring. A strange one that’s gotten more attention than it deserves, but if you don’t get your hopes up too high you might enjoy it.” —from Acid Archives
This reissue edition is very limited, released in 1998 on the highly acclaimed Little Indians label from Germany (later to become Shadoks), known for the high production quality of its releases. This is a hand-numbered edition of 400 copies pressed on heavy vinyl and housed in a massively thick and beautiful silver foil embossed blue velvet cover. The cover is in M-- and the record is in E++, except for the first cut on side two which has a few clicks. (Click on the “me” icon above for info on my grading system.)
