Description

"JUTTA HIPP with Zoot Sims” Blue Note 1530 RVG Original Vinyl.

This is the 1957 RVG-etched, Flat-Rim, Deep Groove, original edition of “JUTTA HIPP with Zoot Sims” on the 767 Lexington Ave NYC labels of Blue Note BLP 1530. “P” or “ear” in deadwax. Musicians include Jutta Hipp, piano; Zoot Sims, tenor saxophone, Jerry Lloyd, trumpet; Ahmed Abdul-Malik, bass, Ed Thigpen, drums.

VINYL has consistent loud surface noise, pops and ticks. No Skips. No Distortion. Both Side 1 and Side 2 have hairline marks, each side has a couple feelable one-inch marks. Good gloss both sides. Deep Grooved labels are clean, tape residue on one. Instruments big, bold, dynamic, full of tone, clean and clear.

COVER is beautiful, rich colors and clean. Spine and seams worn. Top seam 6” split. Spine 5” split. Corners split and/or chafing. “767 Lexington Ave., New York 21” back jacket in very good condition, clean, with minor fading.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Music Hall MMF-7.3 turntable/Ortofon Bronze cartridge, Heed Audio Elixir integrated amplifier, Heed Quasar Phono stage and Quad S2 speakers (with very revealing ribbon tweeters). Record cleaned on VPI 16.5.
