Description
Havover HM 5006. Blues and Haikus Featuring Al Cohn and Zoot Sims. Original 1959 pressing. The cover grades VG++ with the only issue being an old, faint magic marker number right by Kerouac's left elbow. See final photo for a close-up. The record grades VG++ with full gloss with just a few whispy surface hairlines. It plays cleanly and quietly. When I got this album the record was still in the original old-school wax paper inner sleeve (included). It was pretty clear this album probably had not been played since 1959. Overall this would be a tough copy to upgrade.
Save on shipping with multiple wins. For domestic shipping each additional LP is 25 cents for media mail. For international shipping, I have to calculate a price based on weight. The rate changes dramatically for each pound (as an example 2 lbs. is $24.50 and 2 lbs. 1 oz. is $39.00) If you're bidding on multiple items just request an invoice when you're done and I'll send an adjusted invoice.
The US Postal Service increased shipping rates again on 1/26/20. Everything went up across the board but rates to Canada went up the most. No one seems to know why. Please check shipping cost before bidding. Thanks.
GRADING
Near Mint or Mint Minus: My top grade. The record or cover will show the most minimal of wear. The record will have top gloss. The cover will be free from any ring wear, splits, or handwriting.
VG++ : Not quite Near Mint but a super clean, desirable record.
VG+ : The record or cover will show signs of wear but no significant defects.
VG : Obvious signs of wear but the record still has life in it. VG does not mean beat.
VG Minus : The record or cover will show moderate to heavy wear. For a common record this would not be an acceptable grade. For an in-demand, rare record it should be considered.
Good : Very heavy wear. This grade would only be acceptable if the record is rare enough that you might not see another copy available for sale.
