Description

Jack Kerouac LP DOT DLP 3154 "Poetry For The Beat Generation". Issued in the USA in 1959. Mono pressing. Kerouac reads his poetry with Steve Allen with piano accompaniment. This album was pulled from the market by Randy Wood (President of Dot Records) because of the "strong" material. Said to only be released to reviewers only, which makes sense as this album is extremely rare. I bought this in a used record store in Denver, Colorado in 1980 and yes I drew mud when I found it.

Cover is VG (average) with normal shelf and handling wear as follows:

Has a one inch top seam split from the LP mouth back. Top seam has slight paper chipping on the seam.

No creased corners. Top front right corner is slightly pushed.

Corners lightly worn with normal shelf wear.

No writing or stickers.

Very light yellowing on the back bottom cover. Very slight dampness staining on the back bottom.

The record is Near Mint with no wear on the surface on the "A" side to VG++ just missing Near Mint on the "B" side with a very slight trace mark (non audible).

Excellent gloss and shine. No stickers. Very slight trace marker on one label at 9:00 O'clock.

Deep Groove pressing

Very faint spindle mark on both labels. Looks like its been played maybe once.
