Jackie Christian & Target -Love/ The Last Time I Go To Baltimore -Polydor (1974 NZ issue)

Here is another Vanda and Young obscurity as featured on the recent Sharpies comp... Formerly known as The Inheritance, upon hooking up with Vanda & Young, the band changed their name and released this fine single on Albert. Featuring Jackie Christian (née Konstantinos Kougious) on vocals and Tony Currenti on drums (who in fact also drummed on the Aussie version of High Voltage), the band unleash two tracks that are real stand outs, yet very different from each other. Love is more overtly pop and builds nicely into a neo-Spectorian finale akin to the Righteous Brothers in tight Conti cardigans. The Last Time I Go To Baltimore sits comfortably with some of the best US themed songs George and Harry wrote. It’ s a much rockier and exuberant turn of affairs with a damn catchy tune and really great vocals

Grading. I don’t use the term Mint. I don’t believe that records manufactured over 30 years ago, even if unplayed, can be called mint.
Grading: Record/cover
EX: Means either “near mint” to some light marks with hardly any noticeable noise. Sleeve has no or only minor wear.
VG: Means slight background noise and more pronounced marks which do not affect the listening experience in a major way. Sleeve may be creased, some discolouring, the odd fraying, some ringwear, seam split and perhaps some writing.
G: Means noticeable clicks or pop, may have scratches, but doesn’t skip or jump. Sleeve may be ripped, tape repair, large writing, sticker removal damage etc...
Fair: Not a pleasant listening experience, the disc is damaged, just a stop gap before upgrading. Sleeve is badly damaged, not one to frame on the wall...
Poor: I don’t sell records in poor condition
Postage: Royal Mail have increased their costs again, however the postage costs for 2 singles is the same as for 1. I offer reduced postage if more than 1 record is purchased:

All records sent out in professional mailers with 2 stiffeners. Records removed from sleeve if housed in picture sleeve. Postage costs include packaging.
