Description
A lovely copy of McLean's "It's Time!" from my personal collection. Letting this go as part of a gradual clear out of duplicates. Whilst the original catalogue number (as shown on the cover and labels) is "BST 84179", this Japanese copy has another catalogue for this version printed on the spine (as pictured) reading "GXK 8085".
The sleeve grading, as pictured, is a strong very good plus (VG+). Considering its age, just some minor yellowing to the mostly white (sturdy cardboard tip-on) cover, no writing, chips, or tears. The only *very* minor niggles are the tiniest of creases to the front bottom right corner (see first photo, it's literally 1cm), and a dink half that size on the top right corner — zoom into the photos to see for yourself. It comes with no obi but is still a valuable addition to any collection; musically it holds up very well against the 2020 KG Tone Poet cut.
Based on a visual scan, I grade the record itself as excellent (EX). Only in very bright light at the right angle can one notice any flaw whatsoever, and that's a small surface scuff on the intro to the final track on side 2. I play tested it to make sure I wasn't listing a dud, and I'm pleased to say there was no hint of any damage to the groove itself (no clicks of other noise picked up by my Ortofon 2M Blue).
The vinyl is housed in its original Japanese-style poly inner sleeve. This has a white sticker on it with the catalogue number written on it. I never bothered to remove though I'm sure it will lift off fairly easily if that's your bag.
As with all my vinyl sales, I ship using reused sturdy record cartons (with extra stiffener pieces for valuable items like this one). I also place the record into a poly cover alongside the record cover to avoid cover seam splits in transit.
Due to the value, I'll only send this item tracked with adequate insurance for loss/damage in transit.
