Description
This is New Jazz Records NJLP 8263, Jackie McLean Lights Out, a purple labeled, deep groove, mono issue with RVG in the dead wax, featuring Elmo Hope, Donald Byrd and Doug Watkins. The record is in near mint condition showing very few signs of use and playing quietly throughout. There is an area where there looks to be a pressing fault, but it plays quietly through that space as well. The labels are excellent, showing only very few, light spindle marks. The original cover ahs a small 1/2" square blemish, but is also near mint. This is a superb copy of this wonderful collector's piece. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months.
