Description

Greetings everyone!   Presented is a copy of Jackie McLean's LP Makin' the Changes off the New Jazz label (original mono press, Microgroove, NJLP 8231 A, Bergenfield, N.J. address, purple label, RVG stamp on both sides in run-off groove.  I'd rate the wax a strong VG+-- sounded great on my table.  Shows a few light surface marks and will play with some popping and a bit of surface noise on certain cuts but generally fairs pretty well.  VG sleeve-- plastic patina is flaking along the edges, corners are rounded, some light surface wear along top edge and at bottom of spine with the beginnings of a seam split at bottom spine though still holding OK.  Not a perfect copy but a nice, playable mid-grade edition of this fantastic album, featuring Curtis Fuller, Webster Young, Gil Coggins, Paul Chambers, Louis Hayes, Mal Waldron, Arthur Phipps and Arthur Taylor.  Low starting bid.
