Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 4262 Jackie McLean New And Old Gospel, a blue and white microgroove, Liberty label promo-only mono issue of this classic record featuring Ornette Coleman. The record was never released commercially in mono and only made in very limited numbers for radio stations. The record is in VG++ condition showing a few light sleeve marks keeping it from being graded near mint.The record plays quietly except for occasional moments of light crackle audible at the beginning and end of side 1. The cover has a black marker mark on the back and the audition Mono LP sticker on the front is torn but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show no spindle marks. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this extremely rare Blue Note Mono, unavailable commercially. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
