Description
Jackie McLean on New Jazz 8253. This is the original deep groove RVG-stamped pressing of Jackie McLean “Long Drink of the Blues” on the purple and silver labels of New Jazz NJLP 8253. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated cover is clean and bright throughout; the opening on the front shows light discoloration and three ¼” areas of lamination flaking; the bottom seam has a small area of wear at the left edge, two small dings, and a 1 ½” split at the opening – all of which the previous owner (badly) attempted at color restoration, leaving a blue stain. Personnel include Curtis Fuller, Webster Young, Gil Coggins, Paul Chambers, and Louis Hayes. $150.00
