Michael Jackson’s The Jacson 5, “ABC”
(check out my other auctions for more Michael Jackson RARE records!)
Yup, this is the one that started it all, Michael’s FIRST record!
The winner of this auction will receive:
1) Original Jackson 5 Motown vinyl record pressing from 1970
2) Original record jacket with pictures of Michael and his 5 brothers
3) Replaced inner vinyl-lined sleeve which provides MUCH better protection than the original paper sleeve
4) Brand new Japanese 4 ML re-sealable vinyl record sleeve to protect the outer jacket
All of my records are professionally wet-cleaned and vacuumed with a VPI HW17f record cleaner and de-statified (is that a word?) with a ZeroStat 3 anti-static gun. For the past 28 years all my records have been babied as follows:
· vinyl or rice-paper lined record sleeves
· 4 ML or stronger vinyl record sleeves to protect the outer jackets
· stored in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment on Per-Madsen solid oak record storage shelves (OK, the Per-Madsen storage is less than 30 years old. So shoot me! J )
· audiophile turntables, tonearms and cartridges (Infinity Black Widow, SME 309, SME IV, JH Formula IV, Oracle Alexandria, Oracle Delphi II/III/IV, and my current rig, which is a VPI TNT II with mods and a Graham 1.5t/c/Van den Hul Black Beauty

Anyone who’s followed my auctions knows I like to tell a little story about my stuff:
I picked this album up working one summer at a day camp in 1970. It shows signs of wear, but is generally in decent shape. Plays OK, but there ARE some scratches on both sides and some ticks and pops. This was one of the albums I collected during the infancy of my audiophilia, and I had no sense of record care. Also, I had a rudimentary BSR turntable with a ceramic cartridge and way too much tracking force, so when the people danced on the floor or the turntable was knocked and the needle skipped it scratched the record. Oh well. I want to be sure you know exactly what you are getting.
This is one of 6 vinyl records in my Michael Jackson collection. I don’t listen to any of them anymore, and, in memory of the Late – Great Michael Jackson, I offer this collectible to someone who will cherish and care for it and use it.
