Description
For sale is Jackson Browne's For Everyman, originally released in 1973 by Asylum Records, a division of Warner Communications Inc. as a promotional copy with white labels and a sticker on the front cover. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched a large upper case "SX" along with "TML", followed by the matrix numbers A-2/B-3, indicating this record was mastered at The Mastering Lab of Ojai, California before an early stamper was used to make first edition at Columbia Records' pressing plant located in Santa Maria, California. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 and immediately put this album into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with this release. The single page Biographical insert is Near Mint. The inner sleeve is also Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG because of corner blunts, some ring wear, edge rubs, a couple of small dents on the die-cut "window" and a small tear in the middle of the top seam. The spine has color loss at the corners from these blunts, one of which has caused a color fleck on the lower left hand corner of the front cover. The record is visually graded as Near Mint. I'm play grading it as Near Mint. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. This is the best copy of this album that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a promotional copy in this condition, especially with the special insert.
