James Brown Presents His Band ?– Night Train 1961 King 771 Mint Vinyl/Jacket. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail. Only played on Dual 1219 turntable with Shure elliptical cartridge using 0.75 gm tracking force; stopped playing when CDs were introduced and stored vertically to prevent warping. This 60-year-old record is the first one I bought with James Brown songs on it. Six of the 12 songs are by James Brown; others are by The Wobblers, Herb Hardesty, Henry Moore (2), Hank Marr and Clifford Scott. The album looks and sounds as great as when I bought it and came in a plastic envelope which was common before shrink wrap came into use. It was the first album I found that contained Night Train and Hold It. All the local bands of that time played "Night Train." "Hold It" was often played as a "break song" half-way through the band's performance.
