It’s been said that this was the hardest working performer in the music industry, and there are few who would argue. He basically created Funk music, and has been called The Godfather Of Soul. He and his Fabulous Flames emerged in the national spotlight in the late 50’s with their seminal hit ‘Please, Please, Please’, and then didn’t stop recording, performing, and dazzling for over 50 years. This album captures him in the studio with an incredible group of performers, each getting their turn at the microphone. Brown leads the way, but check out the track list for the other incredible performances included on this historical treasure. This album was released on King number 1024.
