RARE and unreleased blues / R&B lacquer-over-metal acetate 45

Condition details: Both sides are visually graded a glossy VG, and play reasonably well for an acetate (listen to sound files). Notable wear on typewritten labels

Now to the music: The Boddie Recording Company, run by Thomas and Louise Boddie, was Cleveland's first African-American owned and operated recording studio, serving a clientele ranging from gospel, soul, and rhythm and blues groups, to rock, bluegrass, and country musicians as far away as Detroit and West Virginia. No details are available online re: this vocalist, however it seems to date from the 1950s. It is an odd mix of blues, jazz, and r&b
