SAVE FOR A RAINY DAY’ WAS NEVER OFFICIALLY RELEASED (UNTIL THE 2000s WHEN IT WAS FINALLY ISSUED ON SUNDAZED RECORDS); IN EARLY 1968, COLUMBIA ACQUIRED THE MASTER TAPES AND PLANNED TO RELEASE IT IN BOTH MONO AND STEREO VERSIONS (STEREO ACETATES EXIST); BUT THE ALBUM WAS CANNED AT THE VERY LAST MOMENT AND WAS NEVER RELEASED AT ALL. ONLY MONO PRESSINGS ON J&D LABEL EXIST. NEITHER “TRUE” NOR ELECTRONIC STEREO VERSIONS OF THE ALBUM EXIST.
My best description would be this album is in good condition with no heavy scratches that prevent the album to be played from the beginning to end. I included pictures that show the flaws on the cover. This is an original from 1968 with the 1-A etching on the album vinyl. Please do not hesitate to contact with any questions you may have.
