Jane's Addiction - "Jane's Addiction" S/T black vinyl test press/promo Triple X

For your consideration is a copy of Jane's Addiction's first (self-titled) record on the Triple X Entertainment label. The copy is a black vinyl record with a white label that has the Triple X info on one side and "Jane's Addiction XXX1004" in what appears to be hand written red sharpie on the other. Run-out groove side A reads, " XXX-1004-A "IT USED TO BE SECRETS! I COULDN'T GIVE THEM AWAY" L-27346 " and side B reads " XXX-1004-B WHAT MADE YOU LOOK HERE? L-27346-X ". There is some very light sticker residue on the label on side A, as well as on the upper right corner of the solid white outer sleeve. Outer sleeve shows some very slight discoloration, and just a few points of wear (see pics). I AM NOT A RECORD DEALER OR GRADER but I would say this copy falls into the VG/VG+ category for both vinyl and outer sleeve. It might grade higher but I am listing as this grade to be "safe". There are no scuffs or marks visible on the vinyl, and the only time I played the record (back in 1993) it played perfectly. I acquired this piece from a friend who was living in Los Angeles late 1980's thru 1996. Also included is a newspaper clipping she sent me from the LA Times dated Sunday October 18, 1987. The clipping is an article on Jane's describing their then up-coming transition to Warner Bros. I was told this is a test pressing, although some have said this was an edition of 50 promo. I did, however, have at one point a "promo" copy of this record on black vinyl with white sleeve, but it had the same A/B labels as all of the other releases. As stated above this is a white label with hand written info. This is one of the last pieces of my personal Jane's collection from many years ago.
