Janis Joplin ?– Pearl Stunning MINT 1971 First pressing UK Vinyl LP
This listing is for an original first pressing of this stunning album, I knew she had some pipes but with this mint vinyl and the volume ramped up you really get a new perspective.
There appear to be many pressings on the orange CBS label but this ridged label copy appears to have some label variations that do not appear on later pressings.
For example the credits for Move over on side one are put down to big ben publishing and on later pressings that changes to B. Fieldman and Co.
I have played the record carefully both sides and did not get one bit of distortion at any time though any of the songs, it is a very lightly played record that has been very well cared for
Also the vinyl is in Perfect Mint Condition visually and shows no damage or blemishes at all.
The Inner sleeve is in Near Mint Condition and shows no writing, tears or seam splits at all, just some very minor signs of being handled.
The sleeve is in Excellent Condition and shows no writing or seam splits at all, there is some staining to the left hand side of the front and the right hand side of the back cover near the spine, this is either light bleaching or tobacco staining, my money would be on the latter. There is also a 1cm tear on the reverse near the opening but overall it is a nice cover that has done its job perfecly for the last 50 plus years.
