The duchess is back! Bringing to you another fine batch of rare/sought after items from my collection.

Including this one, a super rare fab condition record: The Jazz Couriers in concert LP featuring Ronnie Scott and Tubby Hayes.

No. TEMPO TAP 22. Dated 1958. Recorded at the Dominion theatre, London. Label: Tempo. Ronnie Scott (Tenor Sax), Tubby Hayes (Tenor sax, vibes), Terry Shannon (Piano), Phil Bates (Bass), Bill Eyden (Drums). Recorded at 2 concerts on evening of Feb 16th 1958. This is a SCORCHING jazz rarity. Definately not run of the mill and VERY sought after!!!!!!!

I have played this record on my Pioneer Deck Amp through Wharfedale speakers using a M95 ED Cartridge.  I will attempt to make everything as clear as i can to the best of my ability. I have looked at the record under a 100 watt lightbulb to make certain I can see anything that may be on the surface of the record.

Condition of the record -

1. The central labels either side are EX+ condition (not quite near mint) - please see photo. No writing, no tearing, no marks, just a couple of minor areas where the record has been moved over the spindle on side one (this can only be seen in the light), I cannot see a mark on side two at all.
2. Under the light, I can see about 12 light surface marks in total, on both sides. This is very light wear. I therefore grade this record as EXCELLENT or better. After handling lots of records, I'd therefore say, in my opinion, this has either not been played many times or has been handled with extreme care. I have played the record both sides, and (to my relief!) played syperbly, with a tiny bit of static in some of the low spots (but not all). I actually think it has probably played as the day it was bought. I enjoyed listening to this all the way through! A great item - A must for any serious jazz collector!!!!!! In my guide it's listed at £200 in Mint condition.

Condition of the cover -

1. Front: There is approximately 10mm (by the width of the spine) wear on the spine - located centrally. The cover has just some slight wear along the opening. You can also just make out the shape of the record and a few minor creases. It isn't a lot of wear, but is noticable because it is a dark cover. The record has been kept in a plastic wallet, as far as I'm aware.
2. Back: You can make out the shape of the record, but has a lovely sheen to it. Cream coloured, with some slight discolouration due to ageing, but not much.
3. In line with my guide, I would therefore grade this as EXCELLENT.

Side B

1. Guys and dolls (Loesser, 8.15)
2. Time was (Prado, 3.45)
