Description

Emarcy Records #36006, self-titled LP from Helen Merrill. Featuring Clifford Brown, Oscar Pettiford, Clark Terry.  Jacket looks good, light wear, a little age discoloration on back near opening, 2” split bottom. Vinyl looks clean, 6 of the 7 tracks play great. Unfortunately there is a scratch on the first track that clicks loud for the first 30 seconds or so. If you love this LP but hate the first song, this one’s for you! Anyways, scratch really lowers the grade to VG. Again, rest of the record plays VG+/VG++.

Gradings:
M : Mint  ( I never say mint, bogue, stone fox or “holy grail”).
NM:  Near Mint, Very clean, maybe 1 or 2 very light marks but sound is like new.
VG++:  Very glossy, any scratches or marks will be very light and barely affecting play.
VG+: Still glossy, possibly some very light noises, some fine lines with little affect on play..
VG: Used record, some crackle, no loud pops or skips; plays ok.

VG-: Lots of wear, noise, still usable, listenable.
