Description
Here's a great release on the Blue Note label (BLP 1507). This is the original with 767 Lexington Ave. address on the label and the back of the jacket. Deep Groove pressing. RVG etch and Earmark in runout. No R.
Condition - The jacket looks quite nice except for a little light damage at the bottom right corner. The jacket grades at NM-. The record is shiny with light hints of use, and would grade at about NM- if not for a couple light but unsightly scuffs that run across the second track and partially into the third track of side 2. The record grades at VG+ or a little better by sight. Labels look very nice. I listened to both sides and they sounded very nice. There was a little bit of periodic light static during the scuffed tracks, but that is not really significant. The beginning of side one also has a bit of static that seemed to diminish as the side progressed. Much of the rest played at least at NM. Overall listening grade is about NM-.

Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards - Mint (M), Near Mint (NM), Near Mint Minus (NM-), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Very Good Minus (VG-), Good (G). I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed, opened records, discs or tapes. I reserve that designation for sealed items only. The highest grade I give opened, unsealed items is NM. Grading here is strictly by sight unless specifically noted in the condition section.
