Description

Beck Ola is the second studio album by the English guitarist. It is the first album credited to The Jeff Beck Group. It was released in June 1969 on Epic Records. The album peaked at #15 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart. The tag “Cosa Nostra” ( Italian, meaning Our Thing) was written beside Beck Ola on the back cover of original vinyl issue. The group was set to play Woodstock but internal friction led to Rod Stewart and Ron Wood leaving the band and going on to form Faces. A critical success the album is regarded as a seminal work of heavy metal due to its use of blues toward a hard rock approach, as well as the squaring off of Beck’s giutar with Stewart’s vocals. The group also features keyboardist Nicky Hopkins and drummer Tony Newman. Nice first press stereo original from 1969 here.
