TITLE: Jeff Gilbert - For Broken Hearts ... With Mended Parts (Hair)

NOTES: This is a fairly amazing somewhat unknown melodic power pop record from 1982. To me it sounds a lot like Matthew Sweet in the Girlfriend era, although this is much earlier chronologically. Solid songwriting, catchy songs, plus guest appearance by David Surkamp on guitar. This is deserving of more recognition and a possible reissue. I think the whole album is solid, so I had a hard time narrowing down the tracks to sample. So check out a healthy sampling here:

GRADES: SEALED, NM, EXC, VG+, VG, VG-, G, FAIR, POOR. I grade strictly under bright light. My highest grade for an unsealed record is NM (NEAR MINT) - a record must look like new to be graded NM! An EXC record will show only slight signs of prior play. A VG+ is a solid used record that should play well but has minor visual flaws. A VG has more obvious flaws BUT is not trashed.
