   For sale is Jeff Simmons' Lucille Has Messed My Mind Up, released by Straight Records in 1969 in a gate-fold presentation. This record features Frank Zappa on some of his best guitar work and produces two songs under the name La Marr Bruister. I bought this new, cleaned it, played it and immediately put it away in a new inner sleeve.  I always put all my records directly into a protective inner sleeve(s), thus preserving the integrity of the vinyl and any insert(s)  original inner sleeve(s). There are no original inner sleeves or inserts with this release. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ with some sleeve marks and faint surface scratches. I graded as VG+ with occasional low level surface noise only noticeable during the quiet sections. The cover is graded as VG+ because of ring wear, corner rubs and edge rubs. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment and still has a lot of life yet. The spine has a little color loss because of these rubs. This is one of the best copies of this album that I've ever heard, and you would be hard pressed to find one in any condition. This the rarest of the early releases on the Straight label.
