Description
For sale I have a Vinyl LP Box Set entitled Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds.
The box set contains the two double LP records within the original gatefold cover. Also included is the original leaflet/brochure and a 12” single featuring The Eve Of The War / Horsell Common And The Heat Ray.
The vinyl is in very good clean condition. There are a couple of light scratches to Side One and some to Side Three. I have sample play tested both of these sides and cannot detect any adverse impact on the sound quality.
The inner sleeves are plain white and in excellent clean condition.
The album cover is gatefold and in excellent clean condition with minor handling wear.
The leaflet / brochure is in excellent clean condition.
The 12” Single is in excellent clean condition and has its original CBS cover.
The box is intact with no side splits. There is some handling / edge wear and a couple of small areas of paper loss, perhaps where a sticker has been removed. There is a stain to the inside of the base. The box has been in storage for many years and there is a slight odour on opening but overall the box has done a very good job in protecting the contents.
