Jesús Caunedo was a legendary Cuban musician who relocated to NYC around 1960 and then to Puerto Rico in the late 1960s where he lived the remainder of his life. He played with both Titos, Puente and Rodriguez whom he had previously met in Cuba. He also played and arranged charts for Machito, Bobby Valentín, Roberto Roena and others in NY and Puerto Rico. An unsung hero!
Jesús Caunedo "Puerto Rican Jazz"  Gema Records LPGS-5085 (1986) This recording was made shortly before the Guedes brothers sold their label they founded in Cuba in the mid-1950s. The session was arranged and conducted by señor Caunedo who plays alto-tenor sax/flute/clarinet alongside an all-star lineup based in San Juan. Elias Lopes, Juancito Torres-trumpets, Jorge Laboy-cuatro, Amuni Nacer piano/keys among others. This is the second edition LP from 1986 COMPARE TO A LESSER QUALITY VERSION FOR $79.99 and a SEALED COPY FOR $200. ON EBAY .  Vinyl: excellent,    no spindle wear   I repeat my text from Condition Description above: excellent condition, I bought this record brand new off the rack at a legendary NYC record shop's cut-out bin around 1990. I played it 1 time to record it and then I put it away, it's been stored in my collection for over 25 years. There's a small cut out hole in upper left.

LP jacket has no seam separation, the top edge has some visible wear, side edge is intact and bottom edge has some visible wear. corners have a bit of wear. Front cover has visible ring wear top and bottom with a bit of rub wear towards the sides. Back cover shows very slight rub wear at top and bottom.  photos seen were taken with my cell camera, not the highest resolution, it's the actual LP
