Description
You are bidding for a very early 2nd pressing edition of Jethro Tull's "Stand UP" album
Please note I'm not a record dealer, I’m moving house and have decided that I will sell my record collection that has been sitting in a cabinet for the last 40 years !!!
Most of the albums that I have are first or very early editions, ie I bought them as soon as they were released. That said, if you require any other info to clarify their autenticity, please ask !! I bought this album (I'm as certain as I can be after 40 years) in 1969 more of less on release....at least before it become the iconic classic it now is.!
Hopefully I’ve listed all the necessary information below however if you have any questions or queries please email and I'll do my best to answer them. I've checked this against what the trade says is first edition, and it appears to tick all the boxes!
- I would rate the condition of this album as very good. The vinyl is not warped or tarnished and is in clean condition.
- The RIM Matrix info is SIDE 1 is ILPS+9103+ A2.. Side 2 is the same but B2 at the end.Apparently, if this was a first edition, it would have the Island records "eye" logo on the label, which this doesn't have. By what the trade experts seem to say, this would appear to be an equally rare 2nd edition, denoted by the rough texture to the label, and the i logo at six o'clock. It certainly is a very early edition.
- The labels on both sides are in perfect condition, with no bad spindle marking. The inner sleeve is still in very good condition
- The record surface looks excellent, with a few minor markings.
- I cannot guarantee that this is a second pressing, but it is very early, and fits the description by the experts who charge £80 or more for the same item.... The gatefold sleeve, and POP-up is still virtually unmarked. There are a few scuffs and wear marks on the edges and spine, but the cover is in generally very good condition.
- As I said, I'm not an expert on record conditioning, but looking at what else is on offer on Ebay, it looks as good !! As a 100% ebayer, i always try to be objectively truthful and honest in all descriptions. I will send out by the best value I can get for the postage charged. If you want special next day delivery, I'm happy to agree the cost with you before you send me the payment. The choice is yours ! Paypal only please, or cash on collection.
Please ask any questions that you have re this album. Thanks for looking.
