Jethro Tull Stand Up LP Bull's-Eye UK 1st Press VG+/VG+

Description

An original 1st stereo press of 'Stand Up' on the UK Island label. Matrix A/B. Please note this is the very 1st label variation for 'Stand Up' often referred to as the Bull's-eye label. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with the gimmick band 'pop-up' still fully operational! Also included is the original patent number inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% original.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a number of light marks either side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Don't expect a perfect rendition - there's a bit of interference audible in places. But by and large it is a great rendition with no noticeable flaws. But do expect a few crackles here and there - nothing invasive or persistent.
Cover (Vg+) Very nice example of this tricky cover to find in top condition. Nice clean front with no stand-out issues..just some faint sticker removal signs in the top right and a tiny removal mark in the top-left which has been coloured in black. The rear is in very nice condition - in fact well above the average examples that usually surface. There's a bit of edge wear and at one point at the top of the right panel it has worn through for an inch. The text on the spine is all fully legible and, again, much better than you usually find. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
