JETHRO TULL - 'THICK AS A BRICK'
This NEAR MINT copy of their outstanding 5th studio album is a UK 1st pressing dating from initial March 1972 release.
It is on the EMI pressed green Island/Chrysalis label: CHR 1003
Being a true 1st pressing, both labels carry the 'Basing St..' address and white 'i' logo on the rims.
Matrix numbers: CHR 1003 A-3U & CHR 1003 B-2U
'PORKY' & 'PECKO' are inscribed into each run-out respectively.
Stamper codes: 1/GD & 1/GD
Vinyl weight: 150g
Housed within a textured newspaper design cover printed by 'E.J.Day Group', with original plain 'Patent No.' white inner-sleeve.

A vivid & vibrant pair with just two or three faint spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole, but none at all on 1.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Factory-fresh playing surfaces which are totally 'as new' and unmarked in strong daylight. Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This great sounding copy has received just a few careful plays on top-quality equipment and the sound is clean, warm & totally unworn throughout. In fact, apart from a touch of low-level vinyl background in the run-ins, there is little to fault on this keeper copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A tough cover to find in this condition, but this example has survived the past 40 years remarkably well.
It retains clean, white & unmarked front & rear panels. There is some light shelfwear to the left corners but all edges are clean & sharp. Inside and opened out, all the inside pages are clean & present and no attempt has been made to 'join the dots' or do the crossword!
